Top 10 Ways You Can Save Money For Sports Betting

Article by Bet Online

Some people say that to bet on sports is a waste of money, but realistically, with only two outcomes in a game, you have a 50-50 shot to win. When you spend your money and buy some useless product, that money is gone forever and all you have to show for it was the fleeting moment of joy you had until the luster wore off the trinket. But if you bet on sports and just break even, that’s 50% more money that you would have had since you aren’t actually spending the money.

On that note, here’s 10 ways to trims your daily budget to get funds away from mindless spending and redirect it into sports betting:

10. Stop Buying Organic Food

Organic food might be the biggest scam in food industry history. On the other hand, maybe it’s not. The point is: who really knows? There have been plenty of cases recently about companies putting “organic” labels on non-organic food or food inspectors determining that organic farms are as clean as grime. If that’s the case, I’m not pumping extra money into food that is probably the same quality as the regular stuff. Quit the organic foods and do some organic sports betting instead.

9. Trim Your Child’s Schooling Fund

Nowadays, kids are coddled way too much. They are wearing Burberry diapers and cleaning their face with Kenneth Cole baby wipes, and in the grand scheme of things, brand names aren’t exactly as high up on the list of priorities for a toddler as mother’s milk. I’m not saying kids should be sewing soccer balls in poorly lit sweatshops, but it wouldn’t hurt if they fended for themselves once in a while. So instead of handing down a full scholarship to an ungrateful punk who is planning to attend the South Harmon Institute of Technology (S.H.I.T.), take a little piece of the pie for yourself and have some fun with it.

8. Get A Second Mortgage

I always hear people talk about the asset value in their homes, so why not put it to work for you? If your bank allows you to take out a second mortgage – and granted, in the current state of real estate they may not – go directly to the casino. Second mortgages are like that great Chance card in Monopoly: go directly to Go and collect your money. And after you collect, you spend it.

7. Slow Down On The Caffeine

Coffee totally went from being a casual warm-me-up type drink to being a full-blown part of our culture. Now you can pick up girls at coffee shops, they are secretive places to go if Jason Bourne needs to arrange a clandestine meeting, and they are a spot to study, surf or smoke. But the price has also shot up from a buck to as much as .99 if you are one of those metrosexuals that likes his Soy Chai Latte in a Vente Grande size. At a day, multiplied by 365 days a year, some people spend as much as 00 on the brown ground mixed with hot water. Ease off the caffeine and get hooked on something much more entertaining: sports betting.

6. Buy No-Name Alcohol

So what if Young Jeezy sips Belvedere, or Dem Franchize Boys get slizzard on Grey Goose, or Diddy and Busta like their Courvoisier, it doesn’t mean that those brands of alcohol are any better. Save by purchasing the cheaper brands of liquor, which is money that can go directly into your pocket and then directly into gambling. Seriously, can you really taste the smoothness of Grey Goose when it’s mixed with orange juice or Red Bull? If you can, then you’re probably one of the guys who kept lining up for the Pepsi-Coke taste tests back in the day and answering correctly 50% of the time.

5. Gamble With Money You Don’t Have

Some people say we don’t do enough with the money that we do have but sometimes we should look at the money that we don’t have. Loans, credit cards and gift cards are the perfect way to get your hands on some money that you don’t currently have to your name. Then, when you make some bucks off the betting, pay it back and you are good to go.

4. Illegally Download Stuff Instead of Paying For It

Albums and movies cost so damn much these days, which is ridiculous considering how readily available they are on the internet. Downloading music “illegally” is a simple way to cut costs. Instead of paying 99 cents per song or even for Britney Spears’ terrible collection of crooning, you can pirate all that stuff for free and redirect all of those funds into betting. And for movies – or TV shows – they can easily be streamed online via everyone’s best friend, Mr. Internet.

3. Steal

One way to increase your own wealth is to decrease someone else’s. (See: Ocean’s Eleven.) You can do that by running a business or you can also achieve that goal by stealing. “Running a business” or having a “full-time job” does increase your income but that’s taxable income. Those occupations may be more “professional” but the good thing about stealing money is that it is not taxable income. (I’ll leave the methods of theft to you, though.) Everyone knows that stolen food tastes better, which inherently makes gambling with stolen money feel better than betting with earned money.

2. You Don’t Need That Many Pairs of Shoes

Shoes have gotten out of hand. Regardless of your religious beliefs, we were all walking around the desert in sandals just a few years ago. And by a few years, I mean about 1000. Barefoot used to be en vogue but now all of the sudden IKEA doesn’t sell shoe racks tall enough to house some collections. You need a pair of runners, winter boots, sandals and dress shoes and you’re good to go. If you have more than three pairs of hooker boots, you probably have a great sex life, but realistically, you don’t need separate shades of black boots. Stop matching shoe colors to your dress shirts, underwear or accessories and save some of that money for things that matter more, like sports betting.

1. Pawn Things

Do you have that old box of dusty jewelry that some scumbag salesmen in a “get cash for your unwanted jewelry” late-night infomercial reminds you of? Sell it. We’ve all got things lying around the house that are useless to us but might be valuable to someone else. As they say: one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. You could sell your stuff on craigslist and deal with the infinite people who e-mail with interest about your product then never get back to you, or you could sell on Ebay and get dinged on fees left, right, center, north and south, or you could just be old fashioned and go to the local pawn shop to get instant cash. I like instant cash. So take your used Al Jolson records, pawn them off for cash and get to betting.

Blackjack ? A Basic Strategy

A card game requires luck and in a casino most games do. But the case of Blackjack is slightly different. It requires an element of strategy as well.

Strategies look complicated but are often based on simple things. It holds true in the case of blackjack as well. The player can blunt the casino’s edge by exercising the facility of choice available to him and thus playing the game optimally. This is known as the basic strategy in Blackjack.

In order to become a successful player, the player needs to understand the basic strategy and mug up the basic strategy charts. This is the foundation on which most of the blackjack strategies stand.

These basic strategy charts come in different hues and colours but the most basic ones are the single deckand the multi deck charts.

Using Basic Strategy Chart

To understand the basic strategy chart, we need to know the structure and the terminology used in creating the chart.

The vertical column on the left depicts your hand and the horizontal column at the top depicts the dealer’s column. Symbols to understand the chart:

HHitSStandDDouble (hit if not allowed)
DsDouble (stand if not allowed)
PSplit

Some more symbols, that you might come across while reading the Blackjack strategy charts:

H/P –  Split if you can double after split, otherwise hit
H/RHit (if Surrender not allowed)
P/R –  Split (if Surrender not allowed)
S/R –  Stand (if Surrender not allowed)

To use the charts while making decisions during Blackjack, one needs to memorize the basic strategy charts. Finding the underlying pattern will help in understanding the logic behind the strategy charts.

If memorizing the strategy charts is your problem then getting a blackjack strategy card should be considered. Chances are quite fair that the casino you’re in will allow you to the card. Its size equals to that of credit card and has the strategy charts printed on them.

A word of caution

The basic strategy is not a sure fire way to win Blackjack games. It just gives you an idea about what to do in one particular situation. This is just a launching pad, now how well you traverse depends upon your ability. It takes time to master blackjack, so be patient.

Some bad Strategies

There are good strategies and there are bad ones. Three quite frequently uses bad strategies are:

Never Busting.Mimicking the dealer.
Always presuming dealer got a ten in the hole.

Watch out for these bad moves.

Sports Betting Professor Review – Does This Sports Betting Services Work?

The growth of the internet has opened up a world of opportunity for the sports gambler. Not only can just about anyone in the world bet on some of the biggest markets in US sports – the NFL, NBA, and MBL, but the range and variety of bets that are available before and in-game offer a bet for just about everything. Simply betting on the straight win is almost boring. Handicaps, half-time betting, first-scorer, scorecasts and countless other bets give any game the potential to make you money.

Because of this variety, there is more opportunity for the “leisure” gambler to get involved and this has been one of the contributing factors to the growth in popularity of US sports betting. If you’re in the US where betting can be restricted, there are plenty of offshore sportsbooks who will take your business, and for the rest of us in the world, the internet lets us bet on anything the bookies will offer a price on. US sports betting is so popular that there has even been a huge growth in betting on College sports in recent years.

If you’re new to sports betting, some of the terminology and the types of bets can be confusing to start with, but once you get used to the terminology and what the different bets offer, it can be an enjoyable hobby, and for some people a very good way to make a living. Once you’ve figured out what the bets mean, you then need to figure out which side you’re going to back – that’s why we like the Sports Betting Professor’s system so much, it takes out all the guess work, and gives you a 90% success rate!

Learn to Play Craps – Tips and Strategies: Load of Crap: Part 1

I got the idea for this article while writing about dice setting. (If you’ve read the free sample chapter from my eBook on my website, you’ll know what I think about dice setting.) I thought about the ridiculous things (and sometimes downright lies) people say to separate you from your money. I thought about the shysters who spread their misguided and oftentimes flat-out wrong advice for beating the house. Then, I thought about the unfortunate who fall for such bogus claims and advice.
This article gives a small sample of the load of crap (pun intended) from various craps-related websites, followed by brief analyses of the sheer stupidity or dubious nature of their claims. If it weren’t for the sad fact that people actually believe such crap, we’d find it entertaining. Learn from this article. Once and for all, get it through your head that craps is designed for you to lose. No system exists, has ever existed, or will ever exist that will produce long-term gains for the player. The player cannot in any way gain a long-term advantage over the house, and that includes the latest trends in get-rich schemes that focus on dice setting. Don’t be a sucker. Learn to play in reality, not in fantasyland.
I took the following excerpts directly from some of the websites I scanned for 10 minutes after searching for “learn craps.” These excerpts are not from blogs, forums, or discussion groups; they’re from sites that sell craps-related products. My analyses and criticisms are based on my opinion and deemed valid until proven otherwise by a qualified and independent body.
Excerpt: “In my humble opinion, the pass line (and come) are the worst bets on the table. I understand about the 1.4% advantage and all, but has anyone actually calculated odds against, after the come out? I found two books a long time ago that stated the average against you, on the pass line after a point is established, is around 34-35%. That is to say, the odds against ‘repeating’ the point before a 7.”
Analysis: This excerpt was taken from an article intended to provide tips and strategies or playing craps. In justifying his opinion that the Flat Pass Line and Flat Come bets are the worst bets on the table, the writer removes the come-out roll from the equation. That seems absurd. The house advantage on these two bets is so low because of the player’s 2:1 advantage on the come-out roll. Indeed, the advantage shifts back to the house after the come-out, but that advantage can never shift without first going through the come-out, so trying to disregard it seems ridiculous.
Excerpt: “The only good bet is the place bets—and only for the 2 reasons, one they can be taken down at any time, and second you pick your numbers. The odds are much much much better when you try to throw one number instead of repeating it before a seven, and that is what people don’t understand. What they also don’t understand is that the seven should mathematically come up one out of every six rolls—and that is all rolls, not just box number rolls, but all of them. If someone walked up to a table and threw 2, 3, 12, 11, 2, 3, 11, 12, 2, 3, 11, 2, 12, 12, 2, his odds of throwing a seven are greater then the guy who throws 5, 6, 8, 9. How many times do people at a crap table stand there and not even pay attention.”
Analysis: This excerpt is from the same article as the first excerpt. Remember, this author supposedly knows the game and is passing his wisdom to you. Where do I start? The author’s reasoning is based on the silly–and completely false–notion that outcomes of previous rolls influence future rolls. The author apparently believes in the Gambler’s Fallacy. By the believing in the Gambler’s Fallacy, the author proves his ignorance. No matter how many times a player rolls the dice, the odds of a 7 appearing on the next roll never change. So, the player throwing 14 rolls without hitting a 7 has the same odds of rolling a 7 on the next roll as the player who throws only four rolls without hitting a 7. The odds of a 7 appearing on the next roll for both players are exactly the same. Even if you rolled a million times without a 7 appearing, the odds of a 7 appearing on the next roll are exactly the same as if you had rolled only once. Results of previous rolls have no influence whatsoever on the odds of future rolls. The guy in the excerpt wonders, “How many times do people at a crap table stand there and not even pay attention?” I can’t help but laugh and wonder how many screws this guy has loose. The truly sad thing is that people read this guy’s baloney, take it to be true, and then base their bets on it.

Excerpt: “This is a proven professional method, used by experts, that until now has been kept secret from the public. When applied according to the rules presented, it is the most consistent money making craps method you are going to find and can reduce your risk of loss to less than 6%.”
Analysis: You can play the Pass Line with Odds (or Don’t Pass with Odds) and give the house an advantage of only about 1%. Lots of craps bets have house advantages much less than 6%, so touting a 6% risk of loss seems silly to me. I chuckled at the statement, “This is a proven professional method, used by experts, that until now has been kept secret from the public.” Yeah, okay, sure. LOL (laugh out loud). The following excerpt is taken from the same website.
Excerpt: “—As with any educational or entertainment program, results may vary and [name redacted] and its owners assume no liability for its use or any loss that may result. Purchasers of the [name redacted] are encouraged to rigorously test and personally verify results before wagering on an outcome. All gambling involves risk no matter how good the method might be. Purchasers are advised to use the [name redacted] responsibly, implement a sound money management system, and wager only with funds that will not seriously affect their lifestyle or that of others closely associated with them.”
Analysis: Again, I laughed. The website cleverly hooks you with claims of having a “professional” and “most consistent money-making” craps system. It fills you with hopes and dreams of beating the crap out of the casino. Then, after suckering you in, they cover their rear ends by including a disclaimer stating, “—its owners assume no liability for its use or any loss that may result.” I suspect that buyers of that bogus system never make it to the bottom of the web page to read the disclaimer. They’re so hyped up on false hope of beating the casino for ga-zillions, they’ve already clicked the “Buy” button before getting anywhere near the disclaimer. If the system is so “professional” and if it truly is the “most consistent money-making craps method,” why do they need to cover their rear ends with a disclaimer? Makes you wonder, doesn’t it? Don’t get conned into buying bogus winning systems. Learn to recognize bull manure. Don’t get suckered into believing you can consistently beat the casino over time. You can’t and won’t. Be smart. Play smart. Learn the secret to craps.
The next excerpt is lengthy, but I included it because I’m sure it’ll entertain you as much as it did me.
Excerpt: “Here is a simple craps strategy that takes no skill and only two of the same bets each time you play. The writer of this method has never failed to make at least 0 per hour using this strategy. Now, with this report, you can do the same at any dice table anywhere in the world! This craps strategy has been kept within the inner circle of casino bangers for years – under a mutual gentlemen’s agreement. We tried the [name redacted] on randomized computer print-outs and couldn’t come close to losing through 8000 decisions! (Think how long you would have to stand at the tables for 8000 decisions.) We tried it at several casinos in Atlantic City, Vegas, Reno, and Tahoe. The damned thing just would not lose! With this system you won’t care if the tables are hot or cold—you still win with this super craps strategy! A new shooter can throw three or four or more craps in a row and you win! A new shooter can throw three or four or more sevens in a row and you still win! A new shooter rolls a point, and sevens out on the next roll. Shooter after shooter can do this, and you still win! A shooter can throw 14 passes, or more or less, in a row, and you still win! A bunch of players in a row, can seven out after any amount of numbers, and you still win! Read this report and you’ll find out that there is absolutely no roll of the dice that can hurt you with this system! Want to collect on every roll of the dice? Here is how to do it with four easy bets. Follow this method exactly and you’ll go home a winner everyday!”
Analysis: Woohoo! Is this the Holy Grail, the Fountain of Youth, the mother of all systems that has eluded mankind forever? Woohoo! LOL. Yeah, right. Let me get this straight—no skill required—only need to make two bets at a time—and no matter what happens, I can win 0 per hour? Woohoo! I better hurry up and buy this system before the “casino bangers” put it back in their “inner circle” under lock and key and stop offering it to the paying public. Do I really need to analyze this mumbo-jumbo? Does anyone actually believe this crapola? Sadly, people apparently do, or the website probably wouldn’t exist.
Excerpt: “I’m so positive that I can easily convert you from an inexperienced player into a master player with the skills of a pro that you may try all of my methods risk-free! I personally guarantee these craps systems will work at any casino you play! Take up to a full year to learn, practice, and profit. Just remember, if your average daily winnings don’t add up to several hundred dollars, don’t forget that I will give you a 100% refund. It’s that simple.”
Analysis: This is from the same website as the previous excerpt and is typical of the guarantee that comes with many so-called winning craps systems. Read the words carefully. Let’s analyze them. “—you may try all of my methods risk-free.” It’s risk-free because the seller offers a full refund, not because the system consistently wins over time. “I personally guarantee these craps systems will work at any casino you play.” Of course, they’ll work, but will they win? Anyone can use any crazy system and it’ll “work.” The word “work” in this context simply means the system is a legitimate method for playing the game whether you win or lose with it. In the excerpt, if the word “work” were replaced with the word “win,” then the seller would be at great risk because no system will consistently win over time. “—don’t forget that I will give you a 100% refund.” Remember, the guarantee is that you can get your money back, not that the system will consistently win. The problem with these kinds of guarantees is that many people either simply forget or don’t try to get the refund after losing their shirts, or they try but get delayed so long they get disgusted and give up. The moral is, be skeptical of craps systems that come with guarantees. Ensure you fully understand the guarantee before buying. Focus on whether the craps system is guaranteed to win, or whether you’re guaranteed to get to your money back after you lose your rear end. Note the carefully chosen words and understand their meanings, such as “can” instead of “will.” One small word can, and usually will, make a big difference in the meaning of a sentence or an entire paragraph.
Starting to get the picture? Scams are everywhere. Don’t be a sucker. Don’t let your dreams of winning big blind you. Be smart. Play smart. Learn the secret to craps. Read Part 2 of this article for even sillier claims and bigger laughs.

How to Play Blackjack – A Beginner’s Guide

Introduction

Sitting down at a Blackjack table for the first time can be an intimidating experience.  Hopefully this article will help prepare you for that, by learning a bit about how to play the game and some of the nuances of table etiquette.

This article won’t go into strategy of how to play.  For more information about strategy and other advanced topics, see the links section at the bottom of this page.

Here’s my obligatory disclaimer – never gamble with money you can’t afford to lose.  Don’t play Blackjack with your mortgage, car payment, junior’s college fund, money borrowed from a credit card… you get the idea.  Any money you bring to a casino should be considered the cost of “entertainment”, and if you happen to come out ahead a couple of bucks, great.

Rules of the Game

Blackjack (aka “21“) is a fairly simple game to learn, but it takes time and experience to master.  Your objective is to beat the dealer.  Both you and the dealer will receive 2 cards from a standard 52-card deck.  Your 2 cards are dealt face up, and the dealer’s cards will be 1 face up and 1 face down.  You add the values of your cards, counting face cards (Jacks, Queens, and Kings) as 10′s.  Aces count as either 1 or 11.  You can choose to “hit” and take additional cards, or “stand” and stop with the current value of your cards.  If your cards add up to more than 21, then your hand has “busted” and you lose your bet.  The dealer has absolutely no choice in what he does.  The dealer will always hit if his hand is 16 or less, and always stand if his hand adds up to 17, 18, 19, 20, or 21.  If the dealer’s hand adds up to more than 21, then he busts and you win!

OK, so this is pretty simple so far.  Hit your hand if you want another card, stand if you are satisfied with what you have.  But wait, there are few more things you need to learn. After the dealer deals the cards, the first thing he will do is check to see if he has a Blackjack.  A Blackjack (in the old days, they called this a “natural“) is a hand that adds up to 21 using just 2 cards.  So it will be an Ace (counted as 11) with a 10-value card.  If the dealer has a Blackjack, then he will immediately show his hand and you lose your bet.  Wow, this game sucks.  The dealer just got a Blackjack and beat you.  But wait… what if you get a Blackjack?  This is where the game gets fun.  If you get dealt a Blackjack, not only do you win your bet, but you’ll win 1 1/2 times your bet (3 to 2) instead of just even money!  So if you bet , you’ll win !

There are 2 more “special” bets that you can make.  If you are dealt 2 cards of the same value (for example, two 8′s), you can choose to “split” your hand.  When you split, you add a 2nd equal-sized bet and the dealer will split up the 2 cards and you will play them as 2 separate hands.  The other special case is called a “double down“.  When you double down, you add a 2nd equal-sized bet (doubling your bet, thus the name) and you hit and get 1 and only 1 additional card.  Doubling down when you have a total of 11 is usually a good idea because there are lots of 10-value cards in the deck, and if you get one of them, you’ll have a winning total of 21 and win double your original bet!

Game Play
Sitting Down at a Table

OK, so now that you know the rules, let’s walk through the mechanics of how to play the game.  As you walk through the casino, there will be many tables to choose from.  There will be a sign on the corner of the table indicating the table limits – the minimum and maximum bets allowed.  Make sure you play at a table that provides a minimum bet within your budget.  On the Las Vegas strip, it is sometimes difficult to find dollar limit tables at the big casinos, but some of the smaller casinos do offer these limits.

You’ve found a table you like, and have a seat.  What’s next?  It’s time to put your money on the table – literally.  Take out your cash, place it on the table in front of you (don’t hand it to the dealer, he is not allowed to take any cash directly from your hand), and ask for change. When you play in a casino setting, you will be playing with casino “checks” (most people call them chips).  These are small clay tokens that are legal tender in that casino.  They usually have denominations of , , , 0, and up.  The dealer will take your cash, count it out on the table for the pit boss and security cameras to see, and announce to the floor “Change!”  He will then give you an equivalent amount in casino checks.

It may be a good idea to let the dealer know that this is your first time playing Blackjack.  That way he can answer your questions, and he will go slow with you to make sure you don’t make any mistakes.  Remember, the dealer is there to help you.

Time to Bet

Now it’s time to place your bet.  There will be circles or some type of area on the table felt in front of you to indicate where you should place your bet.  If you are placing a bet with more than 1 check, stack them on top of each other, with the higher denomination checks on the bottom.

The dealer will begin to deal out the cards, starting with the spot immediately to his left, and continue clockwise, giving himself his card last.  Once everyone has 2 cards, the dealer will show one of his cards.  If it is a 10 or an Ace, the dealer will check to see if he has a Blackjack.  If he doesn’t, then game play continues.

Beginning with the player to his left, each player will act in turn and decide whether they want to hit or stand.  A casino can be a noisy place, and to help make a player’s intentions clear (and also so the security cameras can see what is happening), a set of hand signals have been developed to indicate what the player wants to do.  If you want to a hit, you should tap the table behind your bet with your index finger.  If you want to stand, you should wave your hand horizontally over your bet. You’ll get the hang of it pretty quickly, just watch the other players and see how they do it.

If a player takes a hit and busts, the dealer will immediately take the player’s losing bet and cards before moving to the next player.  After all players have acted on their hands, then the dealer will reveal his 2nd card (called his “hole card“), and then act on his hand (hitting if he has 16 or less, standing on 17-21).

At that point, the dealer will either pay each player in turn if the player won, or take the player’s losing bet if it lost.  The dealer pays in the opposite direction as the deal – he will begin with the player to his right, and continue counter-clockwise.

Splitting and Doubling Down

Pretty straight-forward so far, right?  OK, let’s go over our 2 “special” bets that we learned about – splitting and doubling down.  If you have a hand that you want to split, place a 2nd equal-sized bet next to the original bet, and tell the dealer “split” while also tapping the table with a hand signal showing 2 fingers (like a peace sign).  Do not touch the cards on the table.  The dealer will separate your 2 cards, line them up with each bet, and then have you act on each hand in turn.  From this point on, they are completely separate hands – you can win them both, lose them both, or win one and lose one.  If you want to double down on your hand, place a 2nd equal-sized bet next to the original bet, and tell the dealer “double down” .  The dealer will give you exactly 1 more card, and you cannot take any additional hits.

Tipping the Dealer

A lot of new players don’t know that the dealer relies on tips (or “tokes“, in casino parlance) to make a living.  The dealer is not there to take your money – he is just trying to do a job.  The dealer wants to see you win, because he knows a winning player will tip him better than a losing player!  So be sure to tip your dealer a little bit while you are winning.  You can give him a check (place it on the table, he can’t take it from your hand) and tell him it is “for the crew“.  In most casinos, the dealers pool their tips and split them equally.  You’ll see the dealer put the toke in a small box attached to the table, which they will later combine will all the other toke boxes and distribute to the dealers.

Some players like to place a bet for the dealer, hoping the gesture will entice the gambling gods to help win the hand.  And the dealer will surely appreciate it, because he has a chance to make double the money!  To place a bet for the dealer, place it next to your bet slightly outside of the betting circle.  Act on your hand as you normally would.  If you split or double down, you don’t have to provide and equal bet for the dealer’s portion, but many people choose to.  If you win the bet, the dealer will pay you and pay himself – you know he’s rooting for you to win!

Cashing Out

So you’ve played for a little while, caught some good cards, made some good decisions, and are up a few bucks.  Perhaps the best decision of all is to leave while you still have a profit!  When you are ready to leave, you can give your checks to the dealer and ask him to “color up“.  This is a process of taking your small-denomination checks and exchanging them for larger denominations.  This makes it easier for you to carry your winnings to the cage (e.g. cashier) to cash in your checks.

That’s pretty much all there is to it.  You now know the rules of the game, the mechanics of the game, and hopefully you feel a little better about sitting down at a Blackjack table for the first time.

If you want to learn more about the game, take a look at some of the links provided below.  Good luck at the tables, and most of all, have fun!
